To join our local council, please download and complete the Key West Council Application and email it to our Membership Chair .

In order to be a member of our local Key West Council, you must also be a member of the national Navy League of the United States organization and be sure to select Key West as your local Council!

Navy League Key West Council Base Pass Guidance:   Members in good standing will go to the Visitor Control Center (VCC) to get your pass between 1000 and 1500.  PLEASE do not go on Mondays or Fridays.  If you do not have your pass and are found on Gov’t Property, you are considered trespassing and subject to a fine.

COMMITTEES – WE NEED YOU!

Be a part of the success. Volunteer by emailing Navy League Volunteer to get more information about volunteering on, or chairing a committee.  Be sure to include your contact information and for which committee you’re interested.

We need volunteers to help increase our membership and plan the activities for upcoming events – i.e. MMOY, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day Parade, Sea Cadet and NJROTC events.

By-Law Committees that require a Committee Member Chair:

•Planning — Submitting a one year plan of council operations.

•Fundraising — Raising funds necessary for council operations.

•Operations — Implementing plan approved by the board; ships visits, visiting crews, making awards, etc.

•Public Affairs and Education — Ensuring council operations receive maximum coverage in the media and the public is educated about the importance of NL Key West.

•Protocol — Insuring traditional military customs and courtesies and practices are adhered to appropriately and timely.

•Membership — Keeping membership records, recruiting new members, and following up on lapsed memberships.

•Administration — Responsible for insuring the records and bylaws of the council are produced, safeguarded and in good order.
